There are three main deployment scenarios for MagiNet™
Add a header to begin generating the table of contents

    Customer:
In this case, Mage’s client is an Internet Service Provider (ISP) interested in deploying MagiNet™ to provide Internet access to customers (homeowners or businesses) in their area of coverage. These might be customers that the ISP can’t reach with current technology due to terrain difficulties, or they desire expanding into areas beyond their existing range.

    Requirements from ISP
In order to design the network, the ISP must provide:

    1. The areas it wishes to cover in the form of a kml file from Google Earth or a GPS device.
    2. The location of access to the Internet. This could be their central office, a nearby tower, or any other location that the ISP has identified as being capable of supplying the required capacity to provide the service.
    3. The required data rate they want to provide, as well as the over-subscription rate that they intend to apply.
    4. If available, the location of assets such as homes, buildings, towers, lamp posts, telephone and power poles which can be used to deploy the Data Pipeline relays.

    Network Design:
Mage Networks uses the provided information to complete a design of MagiNet™ for the ISP. We identify the number and type of units to be provided as well as the locations where relays need to be deployed. We then provide a price list for the equipment needed to be deployed.

    Training and Deployment:
Mage Networks provides training to the ISP installers on how to configure the devices and deploy the Data Pipelines to reach the areas of interest. Securing sites and actual installation of the units is the responsibility of the ISP. Mage Networks provides all support needed to ensure that the network performs as designed.

    Customer Acquisition:
Once the Data Pipelines are deployed, the ISP can run a marketing campaign to acquire customers in the areas which are now being reached by the new network. (In fact, ISPs may also wish to run a “coming soon” campaign in advance of this). The technology’s quick deployment allows for compelling campaigns, allowing ISPs to offer customers same-day hook-ups into residential homes if the ISP so chooses, and certainly same-week.

    Customer:
In this case, the customer is the owner of a larger property or enterprise (university, company, farm, hospital, typically with multiple buildings and areas of activity.) interested in providing WiFi access in outdoor locations that are not currently covered by their inside broadband.

    Requirements from Owner
In order to design the network, the ISP must provide:

    1. The areas it wishes to cover in the form of a kml file from Google Earth or a GPS device.
    2. The location of access to the Internet.

    Network Design:
Mage Networks uses the provided information to complete a design of MagiNet™ for the owner. We then identify the number and type of units to be provided as well as the locations where relays need to be deployed. We also provide a quotation for the equipment needed.

    Training and Deployment:
Mage provides written instructions and video in how to configure and set up the network. As an alternative option, Mage can provide trained and certified installers to complete the installation of MagiNet™.

    Customer:
In this case, the customer is a municipality wishing to provide free or paid ubiquitous WiFi access for their downtown core or beyond.

    Requirements from Municipality
In order for Mage to design the network, the municipality should provide the following requirements:

    1. The areas it wishes to cover in the form of a kml file from Google Earth or a GPS device.
    2. The location of access to the Internet.
    3. The expected numbers of people to use the service.
    4. The location of assets such as homes, buildings, towers, lamp posts, telephone and power poles which can be used to deploy the MagiNodes™ and MagiPoints™.

    Network Design:
Mage Networks provides information to complete a design of MagiNet™ for the owner. We identify the number and type of units to be provided as well as the locations where relays need to be deployed. We also provide a quotation for the equipment needed.
